Here's the Bilco door fix that I needed to work on -

The neighbor across the street now needs theirs fixed, too !!!

See image below \/

Bathroom Re-tile Finished

This turned out well - client wants the other two walls done, now...

No need to wait this time - no water to shut off, but I think the

tub needs to be changed to a Whirlpool one, yes??

Koala Vigil

The homeowner had these Koala bears, and they worked out really well

as a decorative touch to the posts - better than the typical ball

or acorn adornment, if you ask me -

Finalizing the Porch

Well we are almost there - the clean up will be this Tuesday.

The stucco was a little harder to get the mix just right, but the

result I think is impressive.

Newest Project

This is a bathroom remodel that needed only one wall fixing for now -

The client thought the shower taps might be leaking - turned out to be

somewhat correct; it was the spigot that leaked back to the grout,

and then down the Sheetrock to the basement - problem solved

- but "pink" tile is hard to match!

Common Sense on Life Support

It turns out that the County of Suffolk has passed a law in the last two years That disallows one to register a business name if the name is a word that does NOT appear in the English dictionary. So I can start the "D'oh" construction company, but "Re-Molisher" won't fly....
- It was suggested to me that I might want to try 'remonetize' -
because that IS a word...right...forget that the website, the blog and the business cards are legitimate. Thanks Suffolk County.

After & Before

If you look closely, you can see a slight variation from one step to another -

Porch #2 After and Before

Here's the finished porch - well, one board needs to be changed out - that's the power and the mystery of "lot #" - one store to another may have different "greys" when it comes to the same composite boards. Same goes true for any man-made material; if you can get what you need all at once, in one store - do it.

This was a total of 12+ hours.

What a shame

I was really looking forward to a slideshow here on the blog,
but the link to Picasa doesn't work, and that ruined a perfectly
good way to show off my work. Maybe someone out there has a better
solution to this

I was running out of room in the car, and a van seemed like the most logical next step - bought it used, and put it to work on two jobsites
already !

Thought a "new" picture ought to be at the top of this blog, so I went in and fixed it today - might just help with my next client, too! Thanks for looking in...
I thought it would be better to have a "new" picture at the top of the page, since it might actually help me out down the line with my next set of clients. So here is a better picture of the finished deck...

Actually, I think a "before and after" shot needs to be posted, so we can see what it used to look like !

Hi there~~!!

Well, it's officially "open" for use now - I am satisfied with the outcome of the project, but there's a weird feeling I am getting from being finished with it. I guess I am already looking to the next project, and I need to get the website started tonight as well.

Good Morning,

Today is the "official" opening of the deck, so we are going with the big scissors and ribbon theme - check in later for the pictures!

So today marks my first posting to my first blog - my intent is to open up a line of communication to those who care to see how my projects are moving along, and maybe get new ones out of these postings, too.
